Dr Peter Burr is Head of Programmes for the Global Parenting Initiative (GPI). He bring over 10 years’ experience supporting the design, delivery and management of research programmes globally spanning both the private sector and academia.
Prior to joining the GPI, Peter managed the Future of Development Programme at the Oxford Martin School and before that he led a team of Water sector consultants at Oxford Policy Management (OPM). At OPM, his consultancy work has spanned a diverse range of technical areas across water, sanitation, water security, climate, and health programmes in low-and-middle income countries. In addition, from 2019 to 2021 Peter was Project Director for a multi-million-dollar UNICEF framework agreement related to public financing for social sectors.
Peter holds a PhD in WASH economics from Cranfield University, an MSc in Water, Science and Governance from Cranfield University, and a BA in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Birmingham.
