Mackenzie Martin is a SSHRC Banting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Offord Centre for Child Studies and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and a Research Associate in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta.
Mackenzie has a MPhil in Evidence-Based Social Policy and Intervention and a DPhil in Social Intervention from DSPI. In her research, Mackenzie investigates how to enhance child and family health and well-being through social and public health interventions, with a particular focus on supporting parents.
For instance, for her doctoral research, Mackenzie examined the implementation and scale-up of Parenting for Lifelong Health for Parents and Adolescents in Tanzania with support from a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship, Rhodes Scholarship, and Alain Locke Fellowship at Hertford College.Â
