Hannah van Vijfeijken is the Research Support Assistant for the Global Parenting Initiative, primarily contributing to the Parenting on the Border and Parenting in the Preschool System projects.
Hannah holds an MSc in Education (Child Development and Education) from the University of Oxford. Her master’s dissertation was a mixed methods study investigating teacher-child relationships and children’s educational outcomes in Kenyan primary schools. Hannah’s background is in developmental psychology, with a focus on how caregivers impact children’s educational, language and socioemotional outcomes. In 2022, Hannah obtained a BSc in Psychology from University College London. Her prior research experiences include a longitudinal preschool language and literacy study at UCL, as well as working as a clinical psychology assistant for children experiencing neurodevelopmental challenges.
Hannah is passionate about improving developmental outcomes across the globe through evidence-based interventions that combat adverse childhood experiences and social inequalities.
