Dr MaryJane Nweje works as a Policy and Engagement Officer at the University of Oxford’s Department of Social Policy and Intervention. In this role, she supports the Policy and Advocacy Team in translating research to policy recommendations that improve adolescents’ lives globally.
She holds an MBBS degree from Enugu State University in Nigeria and an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford. She is also an alumna of the Washington Department of Global Health, Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Emerging Leaders Programme West Africa, and the African Change-makers Initiative. She is very passionate about adolescent health, and her research interests include comprehensive sexuality education, adolescent-friendly services, climate change, social determinants of health and health policies.
She enjoys reading personal development and thriller novels, travelling and mentoring other young people in her leisure time.
