Christoph is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, supervised by Professor Aaron Reeves and Dr Ben Chrisinger.
Christoph studies how social and economic living conditions affect mental health. He is interested in understanding how mental health inequalities vary across countries and the life-course. He also examines how national-level social and health policies (e.g., regarding working conditions, unemployment benefits or access to mental healthcare) can protect or harm our mental health.
Christoph is a quantitative researcher trained in Psychology and Behavioural Science, with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Konstanz and an MSc in Economic Psychology from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Prior to his DPhil, he worked as a public sector consultant in Berlin. In his role as project manager, he advised organisations (e.g., federal ministries, political foundations or development finance institutions) on strategy, organisational transformations and impact evaluations. Christoph also has experience working for the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European office in the unit non-communicable diseases and Health Promotion as well as the Behavioural and Cultural Insights unit.
