Ana María Restrepo-Sáenz is a Clarendon Scholar, awarded by the University of Oxford, from Colombia, currently pursuing an MPhil in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. Her research focuses on strengthening early childhood development and supporting caregiver well-being in contexts of crisis and forced displacement, particularly in Latin America.
Ana María has extensive experience as a research consultant and practitioner, working to advance children’s rights through education, early childhood care, and family–community engagement. She has contributed to initiatives led by UNICEF, USAID, the International Rescue Committee, Dubai Cares, and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others. She previously served as Deputy Director of Analysis and Dissemination at the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (Icfes), where she led national strategies to promote the use of data for improving education quality, and as Chief Operations Officer at Red PaPaz, a Colombian civil society organization that promotes whole-child development by addressing the social determinants of health, bridging evidence and practice to support families and influence public policy.
She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia), and a Master’s in Education from Harvard University (United States).
