Alyssa Mohammed is a 2023 Rhodes Scholar currently undertaking the MSc in Comparative Social Policy. Her MSc research centres on comprehensive sexuality education in the Caribbean region, and her wider research interests engage themes of feminism, intersectionality, global South inquiry and critical/qualitative methods, particularly as they relate to issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
These interests were formed by her career in women's non-profits in Trinidad and Tobago, where her work involved meeting the needs of vulnerable women and their children, especially low income single mothers of colour.
