Ahmed Naaif Mohamed

Naaif is a Chevening Scholar from the Maldives, currently pursuing an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford. His academic interests include examining how welfare programs are restructured during economic recessions and evaluating the impact of foreign developmental aid programs on developing countries.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the Maldives National University, where he was awarded the National Award for Special Achievement by the President of the Maldives in 2019. Before joining DSPI, Naaif served as a Programme Analyst at the United Nations Development Programme in the Maldives, working in the Democratic Governance Unit on policy planning, digital transformation, and decentralisation policy.
