Charlotte Evans is a DPhil student in Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Supervised by Dr. Amiya Bhatia and Dr. Gabriela Pavarini, her research focuses on developing high-quality youth mental health care services in low-resource settings, with a particular emphasis on evaluating the role of emerging digital mental health interventions in enhancing care delivery.
Before beginning her doctoral studies, Charlotte served as Senior Coordinator on the Partners in Health (PIH) Mental Health Team, where she managed a global collaborative dedicated to developing high-quality, community-based mental health services across 10 care delivery sites. She also worked as a research fellow at the Canadian Institute for Health Research Support for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Unit in the Northwest Territories, collaborating with Indigenous communities to promote cultural safety across health and social systems in Canada.
Charlotte holds an MPhil in Population Health Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specializing in Global Health, and a BA with honors in Geography from Dartmouth College. During her training, her academic work focused on developing and applying innovative measures of mental health and youth mental health systems coverage, with research spanning Canada, the United States, and Chile.
