Coleman Warren is from Farmington, Arkansas and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Political Science. At the state’s flagship institution, he served as Student Body President. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Coleman founded Simple + Sweet Creamery, a small-batch ice cream company focused on fighting child hunger. Simple + Sweet Creamery donated more than 50,000 meals to local food banks. He also started a nonprofit entrepreneurship- education and mentorship program, Simply Feeding, targeted at rural high school students. His undergraduate honors thesis studied the accessibility of food pantries in Washington County, Arkansas. While attending the University of Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship, Coleman is reading for an MPhil in Comparative Social Policy with a focus on rural development. After graduate school, he hopes to return to Arkansas with his wife to pursue a career in public service and raise a family.
